INFO

Awakening is a self-initiated poster series exploring the quiet foundations of form, rhythm, and visual truth. Each of the five pieces distills a single design principle—structure, distortion, alignment, tension, and repetition—into an abstract composition that reveals meaning through shape, grid, and balance. Inspired by Bauhaus geometry but driven by a personal pursuit of truth in design, the series spans five A2 prints, each paired with a short written reflection.

PROBLEM

Design today often rewards volume over meaning. The loudest, busiest, most decorated work tends to win attention, while the invisible systems that actually hold a composition together—the grid, the tension, the restraint—go unnoticed. I wanted to make work that did the opposite: that slowed people down and made the unseen structure visible, proving that quiet, intentional design can carry more weight than noise.

SOLUTION

I built each poster around one principle and let that idea drive every decision—form following truth rather than trend. The result is a cohesive visual language: bold geometry, deliberate balance, and colour used with purpose across the set. Paired with short reflective writing, each piece invites pause and recognition of the structure beneath the surface, turning abstract design theory into something people can feel.
